Motorcycle Tire Pressure Monitor Systems

The new year is here and the one of the hottest topics is motorcycle safety products. This year's hottest safety product is the motorcycle tire pressure monitoring system. In the past, motorcycle riders had no safety measure in place to warn them of a hazardous tire condition. The result of which, has left many motorcycle riders stranded by the roadside or in the hospital from motorcycle tire failure.

At the current time three manufactures are leading the way in motorcycle tire pressure monitor systems, TireGard, Doran and Genes gallery. We have chosen to carry the TireGard Motorcycle Tire Pressure System after comparing the three. You can click here to compare for yourself the advantages of all three manufactures and also view the easy installation video.

The big part of finally having a product that will warn the rider of a poor motorcycle tire condition is ultimately better safety for all riders. As technology evolves in the motorcycle world, it increases our ability to better protect ourselves and our bikes. Last year a friend of ours had a bad accident on his motorcycle from tire failure. I believe if he had done his pre-check and installed a motorcycle tire pressure system, the result would have been different.

Happy New Year!

LoudPipesandParts.com

I am very excited to announce we have officially launched our new look at LoudPipesandParts.com. My passion for motorcycles and the fellowship that goes with motorcycles keeps fueling me to work harder. Through my search for better products for my bike and my riding experience, I realized a niche long forgotten. Good old fashion customer service! Ordering from numerous shops both online and in person, I felt most of the time like no one really cared about finding what I was looking for, or that the product would work. With that in mind, I firmly believe we have created a small town online motorcycle shop for everyone where customer service is the number one goal. Carefully I have built LoudPipesandParts.com by building relationships with the manufactures of products I believe in and use. Becoming an authorized dealer for Sinister Wheel, Amsoil, Himalaya Apparel, Showchrome, TireGard, Dunlop, and many others.

My vision for this blog stays the same, share motorcycle stories, experience, & knowledge amongst one another to better the overall experience of motorcycles. To participate in forums and blogs which share the passion for motorcycles as I do.

Winter Maintenance for Motorcycles

The seasons are changing quickly and it seems winter is about to arrive. Most of us will be taking our bikes and doing the seasonal maintenance and fix the stuff that needs repaired. Oil changes, transmission fluids, motorcycle tires, and so on. Choosing who and where to get the best prices on needed items is a challenge in today's online world. Supporting our local shops is always good, but some are just to expensive. Going online is challenging and some times uncomfortable. With our new beginnings in 2009, LoudPipesandParts.com has experienced positive results and began some good friendships with our customers. As we grow, our product line expands and more and more quality products become available for you the customer. I want to take this time to thank our growing customer list and welcome those of you who have not used our services, to give us a chance to earn your trust. We stand by our goal to provide great customer service and quality products each and every time. We continue to move forward and strive to improve each and everyday. I'm proud to be a part of the motorcycle community and appreciate the chance to continue to meet folks and share ideas, stories, and information.

The Power of Amsoil Products

On my trip to Sturgis I realized, stumbled if you will on Amsoil products for my bike. The trip down from Spokane, Wa. is just under a 1000 miles and is a good 2 day ride. On arrival in Sturgis I really could hear my 6 speed transmission talking or chattering if you will. I also started listening to my buddies transmission on his 06 Wide Glide and his was really talking. That night after we sat down at our campfire we started talking about the days ride and the sounds and the heat generated from the two bikes. My brother who has rode for over 20 years, mentioned the fact that he switched all his bikes over to Amsoil products and was very happy with the results. After a little more discussion of the pros and cons of the use of Amsoil products we decided to go into town the next day and convert our bikes over to Amsoil. My buddy put Amsoil in his trans. and I converted my whole bike over to Amsoil because it was time for a 10k go through. It did not take long to realize a big difference in our bikes. For my buddy, in less then 50 miles his transmission chatter was all but gone. He simply told me that the day before he believed something was wrong with his transmission, and today with the addition of Amsoil Severe Gear the sounds are all but gone. For myself I could not be happier, my 6 speed trans is quiet and the engine temp. is at least 40 degrees cooler. On our return trip, I was surprised to find that my bike was getting 3-5 miles per gallon more for fuel economy. I believed my brother, but proof is in the pudding as they say. I am with out question sold on the power of Amsoil products.

Sturgis 09'

I have made the journey to Sturgis and yes rode my Bike all the way and back (2100 mi. Spokane, Wa to Sturgis,SD). The trip was a great time and well worth it. Of course, I did see many of our fellow riders trailer in, but to each their own. I have never seen so many bikes in one place as that of the Sturgis Rally. You could literally spend every day of the Rally looking at all the different rides out there and still not see them all. Everyday can be spent trying to take in all the vendors and day rides that are possible. We did take in most of the local towns with in a 50 mile radius, and yes every one of those towns were full of bikes! The experience is definitely one that every rider should take the time to be a part of. As a rider you can increase your knowledge of your bike and what will help bring optimum performance from your ride from all the different vendors. Of course, there is a variety of restaurants, bars, and shops that are to many to mention. Legendary stops are the Knuckle, Broken Spoke, One Eyed Jacks, and the Harley shops. A short trip to Deadwood is a must, you can see some history as well as enjoy some great food and shops. While in Sturgis we camped at Bear Butte Campground. A very nice, clean, and well run campground close to all the action of Sturgis and some of their own. There is so much to write about that I will break up my post into parts over the next few days. I have definitely learned about some great practices and products, and will share them with you.

Dunlop Tires

Dunlop Tires as we all know are great motorcycle tires. The research and development put into their product has proven to pay off as many bike manufactures use Dunlop. Harley recommends the use of Dunlop's D402 series for its touring bike line. Built with a three-ply polyester casing with two fiberglass belts, the D402 offers greater load-carrying capacity and stability. As posted earlier your care for your motorcycle tires is very important. Not only for safety, but also for the quality of your bike's performance. Other motorcycle tire manufactures such as Bridgestone, Metzeler and Pirelli also stand out and deserve recognition for their efforts. Which ever motorcycle tire you choose, remember to change them out as needed as a bad tire could cost you more then a afternoon beside the road!
